What would July be without a little piece of history? It can't all be about hot dogs, barbecue and fireworks!Danny Sullivan wrote a nice timeline on the history of AOL Search on Search Engine Land, all the way back to 1995. I've been in the search industry for a while, but I haven't been with AOL Search that long, so it's interesting to see how the product has evolved. Remember WebCrawler? And yep, we still have Open Directory Project/DMOZ.
